Durante casi una década de establecer vínculos y tender lazos entre autores y lectores al publicar literatura, los editores de Reverso hemos constatado que la poesía naciente de México se renueva y reconstruye a sí misma fragmentando los límites y las formas de su escritura.

Es por ello que consideramos no sólo relevante sino necesario reunir en una edición bilingüe —a fin de desplegar en otras latitudes esta intención creativa— textos de autores jóvenes que representen a la nueva generación de la poesía mexicana por la fuerza de su voz poética y la perspectiva literaria de su obra.

El intento de retratar y definir a la nueva poesía mexicana no es un hecho primerizo dentro de los círculos de un ente dinámico y heterogéneo. Consientes de los riesgos y aciertos que esto implica, ofrecemos en la presente edición una muestra — mínima, pero al mismo tiempo plural, rica y diversa del panorama de nuestra poesía— que debe ser vista en su conjunto como nuestra propia visión de la poética mexicana de los inicios del siglo XXI, regeneradora del ambiente literario y enfocada en lo que nos hace ser: una revista de literatura y no sobre literatura, puesta a la revisión, al criterio y, desde luego, al solaz del lector.

For almost one decade of settling links and bonding ties between authors and readers by publishing literature, the Reverso's editors we have been able to verify that the emerging mexican poetry renews ans rebuilts itself while breaking into pieces the limits and shapes of its writing.

It is for such reason and pursuing the objective of showing this creative intention that we consider not only relevant but also necessary to assemble together in a bilingual edition texts of young authors who for the strength of their poetical and the literary perspective of their work, are representatives of the new generation of mexican poetry.

The attempt of portraying and defining the new mexican poetry is not a newly arrived fact into the circles of a dinamic and heterogenous body. Being conscious of the risks and benefits that this implies, we offer in the present issue a sample -minimum but diverse, rich, and plural at the same time- which most be considered as one single vision, our vision on the mexican poetics in the beginning of the 21st century, revitalizer of the literary ambient and focused on what is our reason to be: a magazine of literature and not a magazine about literature, put under the readers' judgement and -of courses- for their leisure.
